Example: the distributor of the Employment Survey (INSEE, 2006) is CMH-ADISP and its reference number is lil-0390.
When making your first data request, you must first register as a new user. The account you create will enable you to identify yourself in the future on the Quetelet portal and to make further data requests.
Select your status from those proposed on the list (researcher, PhD student…)
Enter your identity and coordinates, taking particular care when entering your email address.
Choose the format in which you would prefer to receive the data (CSV, SAS, SPSS, STATA).
Specify your research discipline and the type of your establishment.
Once you have confirmed the details entered on the form, you will be sent an automatic message. To complete your registration, you must click on the link contained in it and choose a (pseudo) username and a password.
In order to make a data request, you must connect using your username in the connection box on the right of the screen.
A request can concern several files on condition that they are offered by the same distributor (CMH-ADISP, CDSP or INED). The distributor relevant to your request can be located by making a search through the data catalogue.

Describe your research project in a few lines.
Select the files one by one. Files are classified by title or reference number. Click on the "Add to your request" button for each separate file that you wish to select.
Confirm your request.
You will receive a confirmation email concerning your data request with documents in attachment (obligations form, information pertaining to data use). To obtain data, you must fill out and sign the obligations form(s) and return them to the distributor.
If your request is accepted by the distributor, i.e. the aim of your project is research, then you will receive instructions via email for downloading the data.
